Growing up surrounded by the creative influence of an older artist brother, a painter grandmother, and an artist grandfather, Vanessa's journey is deeply tied to her heritage, notably as a descendant of John B. Fairbanks. This continuous, inspiring exposure cultivated a deep and early appreciation for form, light, and visual storytelling.

Vanessa began her painting journey 18 years ago, formally honing her craft through study under the tutelage of Melodie Maurer Williams.

Today, Vanessa is a skilled Oil Impressionist Painter, carrying forward a tradition while developing a unique style renowned for her ability to capture ephemeral light in the landscape.
